Open Studios Sunshine Coast

Open Studios Sunshine Coast offers a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes, attend workshops and to meet and buy works from the region’s talented artisans, including ceramicists, painters, photographers, printmakers, textile artists, sculptors and more. The trail celebrates the vibrant, diverse art scene along the coast and throughout the hinterland. Open Studios Sunshine Coast is a unique chance to enjoy the creative spaces of local artists, rarely opened to the public. More than 70 studios and galleries are dotted along the trail so you can plan and make your own way at your own pace. Studio spaces range from backyard sheds, shipping containers, warehouses and permanent gallery studios to glorious garden retreats. Every artist has their unique method, process and story and is willing to share this special glimpse into their world with you. Watch a demonstration, listen to their tale, attend a workshop - make a memory and find something to treasure. This once-a-year opportunity to access and buy directly from a range of emerging and established artists has seen the event develop its reputation as a must-do for seasoned and new collectors. Open Studios is held over two weekends from March 18-26 and bridged by 5 days of hands-on workshops.
