The Backyard Series: Homes for Native Bees

Join The Urban Bee Co for a hands-on workshop about native bees and how to support them

The Backyard Series returns to the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden in 2024!

Homes for Native Bees

Presented by The Urban Bee Co

There's a buzz about bees and this workshop is no exception. Come and learn about the diversity of native bees, their critical role as pollinators and their habitat needs.

Participants will have the opportunity to make a solitary bee hotel to take-home and also discover tips on actions we can all take in our backyards to support pollinator survival.

The Urban Bee Co is a family-run consultancy, self-described regenerative beekeepers. They are very 'busy bees' delivering bee education throughout Southeast Queensland, as well as coordinating the 'Host a Hive' and 'Pollinator Warriors' programs. They proudly showcase women in beekeeping and reinvest 100% of their honey profits back into education.
