5k SCADaddle for Research

Join us for our Sunshine Coast 5k SCADaddle for Research!

Register to walk, skip or run 5km with family and friends to help beat SCAD Heart Attacks! We’ll be meeting from 7:30am on Sunday 27th October in front of the Sport Hub in Bokarina and from 8am we'll walk in a 5k loop along the beautiful lake.

SCAD is the #1 cause of a heart attack in women under age 50, and cause of sudden heart attack in healthy, fit adults. SCAD stands for Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection. During SCAD, a sudden tear occurs within the layers of one or more arteries to the heart. This tear blocks blood flow, which can lead to cardiac arrest and sometimes death. The average age of SCAD sufferers is just 42, and 80% of sufferers are women.

Money raised goes to Medical Research to better understand, diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent SCAD Heart Attacks.

Donations are tax deductible and every dollar makes a difference! Find out more, register or donate at https://www.mycause.com.au/events/scadaddle

This nine day creative feast of art and food is being held in the natural beauty of Flaxton Gardens on the Sunshine Coast. The exhibition of indoor and outdoor sculptures, which are all for sale, aims to ignite your imagination, inspire and delight you. Workshops will be held as part of the event to entice you to get in touch with your hidden talents or to further develop your skills.
